Propulsion Systems

If we're going to be zipping around space we're going to need some real research into what's going to make our blasted ships move.
My suggestions are to research things like grey energy, room temperature fusion, HHO (water in a gaseous state-- yes it's possible and it's being done now)...

Try anti-matter for fuel.

...Do you have any links to research into anti-matter? I sure don't.

If we were to go into space, we would use Ion propulsion because of its very, very high fuel efficiency. It isn't as fast as other modes of transportation, but if you're going to be flying around for a long time, you can't pack a few tens of thousands of pounds of conventional fuel.

There are more possibilities than just ion drives. Also, once in space and up to speed, fuel consumption drops off as there is virtually nothing to slow the ship down and fuel is used almost exclusively for course corrections until you reach your destination and you need to decelerate. I'm no rocket scientist, but I think I have that right.
