1) (C. Adjective, plural) A bastard term for space-time folds.
2) (P. Noun) A patented Terran technology for folding space through the 4th dimension using stabilized artificial 4d pockets of space, maintained by a physical "D-Card". Without the D-Card, it is impossible for the CurveS system to work.

Factions
Terran Commonwealth (TC) vs United Colonies of Thisland (UCT)
Third, Independent Faction - Galactic Freelancer Conglomerate (GFC)
Mod faction - Galactic Colonization Vessel "Nex" (GCV Nex)
Warring factions merge later on, after a certain checkpoint, and the Mod faction becomes playable (New Mod faction: "Spatial and Relativistic Technologies Agency" (Sparta))

Intro
"Begin log. 23.14.ja3.712 via Thisland Date Standard. I've tried getting used to the more modern Terran Colonial Time, but their move to a decimal system is... confusing. From what I hear, little progress has been made at the Terran dig site... odd, considering the Terran Commonwealth abandoned it long ago. On my end things are progressing much better. While we weren't allowed on Thisland itself, we were allowed to begin an excavation on the moon. We've managed to find what appears to be an old listening post, but the recording devices are archaic at best... we'll have a lot of trouble figuring out what's on them. That might not seem like much, but I just wanted to end on a high note. We just discovered the find of a lifetime. The oldest Bobonian artifact EVER, and it just falls into our hands! It was inside the base, and it looks like they were studying it... perhaps they were archaeologists themselves? Anyways, the device is astounding! There are few markings on it, and if my translation is correct it should say "ARK1, Cocoon Relay 9001. Designed by Ulcers."I think I'm missing something... perhaps Thisland will open up a bit once I present this to them. End log."

Basic Storyline, parts can be edited as needed, and tidbits will be gotten through either private messages or random Ejected Cargo

[Unknown date] - The Space Elevator is finally finished.
[Unknown date 2] - The first commercially owned orbital observatory discovers a rogue moon.
[Unknown date 3] - All data on this moon disappears. Wikileaks picks up something about an ELE from a NASA leaker.
[Unknown date 4] - The world's governments finally admit to the rumors that the rogue moon is on a projected collision course for Earth.
-200 ELE - Construction of ARK1 commences. An international advisory board is created to oversee the project.
-172 ELE - Gilise 581g is selected as the most likely candidate for colonization.
-171 ELE - People have caught on to the terms that scientists have been using to describe G581g, particularly BOB (Best OrBit) and This Land (THeoretIcally Stable for habitation. The land part came from fans of really old history.)
-117 ELE - ARK1 is finished. Productions of ARK2 commences, and one million colonists are selected via skill sets and mental states.
-112 ELE - International tensions rise as most of the candidates turn out to be Americans.
-110 ELE - In response to public outcry, America is excluded from the crew of ARK2.
-109 ELE - Overnight, the colonist list changes to completely American. Boarding of ARK1 is finished before foreign powers notice, and ARK1 barely launches.
-108 ELE - In response to the boarding list change, all major countries declare war on the USA.
-101 ELE - The Space Elevator in Florida is sabotaged by USA forces as the newly formed Terran Commonwealth moves to take it.
-100 ELE - Only a few American outposts, including the ARK control center on the moon, are holding out.
-99 ELE - The ARK control center falls. ARK1, as a precaution, remotely causes an overload in one of the com relays, causing Terran forces to believe it had been destroyed.
-98 ELE - The Terran Commonwealth looks into building another ARK, however they do not have enough time to do that AND build another space elevator, which is required for the massive amount of materials which have to be moved.
-97 ELE - A Russian scientist comes up with a daring plan: Redirect a comet into the moon as it approaches.
-96 ELE - An artificial comet is designed, and built. The launch is sucessful.
-0 ELE - The comet barely nudges the rogue moon into a stable orbit around the Earth.
1 ELE - The moon is discovered to be a perfect sphere constructed of an unknown alloy. All data regarding this is kept a state secret.

not bad man not bad, but a few things.

1. idk if this is what u planned but either way i got the idea y not go farther then classes, think about it you pick your side, then your class, then u pick you ship. now unlike class and side you can buy a new ship, its not cheap (which is y u start with the funds to buy 1) but if you want when u gt the money you can change ships. in doing so youl get rid of your old 1 o u cant have 2, and ach ship can do somthing dif. now given it will take alot more work and wel have to think of alot of ships but i think if w did it would mak this that much better, and different from tnn and ni. (again xen im not sure if u planned that and i think u may have but if u did then im at last makin sure everyone knows)

2. The oldest BOBONIAN artifact EVER. REALLY R U KIDDING ME I JUST CANT TAKE THAT SERIOUSLY lol! (no offense im just sayyin)

Lol. The BOB and THISLAND parts are both references to two different scifi universes (Planet Bob from Titan AE and the Dinosaurs that shall rule over this land, and call it... this land from Firefly (Ep1: Serenity))
Also, yes... the intention was for players to choose different ships which would have different capabilities. However, I don't think that they should be purchased (Thinking a "Talent tree" atm)
Bug me if you want updates to this ;D

If it had come at an earlier time, I would have given it more serious thought. As things stand, however, I'd like to stick with the more generally accepted name we have now. As far as content goes, though, we're totally open.

I love the ideas that are coming out of your head; don't ever let any lack of enthusiasm on my part keep you from them. However, I do have a few points that need addressing here...

One: As far as I know, we were moving away from direct conflict between players and doing our best to promote teamwork and cross-faction cooperation.

Two: There is no two. The rest of your stuff seems like it could meld with the current name and can easily be in the running for our program. Smile

I like the ideas of 'folding' space and a designated 'mod' faction. I also like the fun and new ideas for the signup process. Overall, this version offers many new views and ideas. I personally don't like placing so much focus on the means of transport, but I would like to explore using that kind of ability tree for some of the non-core tools and abilities.
